Fall Red River Gorge Golden Hour Engagement Session β€” Laura + Max

After driving 2 hours south across the Kentucky border with my diet coke and protein bar, I met Laura and Max at the Greys Arch parking lot at Red River Gorge. From there, we hiked with their two pups and friend 2 (!!!) miles to a beautiful overlook at the gorge, their choice. This hike humbled me, realizing I’m more out of shape than I thought. Look, I’ve been to Red River Gorge numerous times, and never even heard of this location! (which I’ll keep secret, for now). When I finally saw the trees clearing in the distance, I took a sip of my water and wiped a little sweat dripping from my beanie and thought β€œThank you, Lord… we’re finally here” giving my quads a BREAK.

But in all honesty, the hike was 100% worth it! It was also so fun chatting with Laura, Max and their friend getting to know them better. I learned that they are avid travelers, basically traveling the world and I secretly want to fit in their suitcase for their next trip! The view these two picked was absolutely breathtaking. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…

As the sun was setting (and it was setting, fast!) we grabbed our headlamps and hiked another 2 miles to our cars. Now I can check off doing a night hike off my bucket list! This session was one for the books, and honestly one of my most memorable from 2023! I can’t wait for the next adventure!
