My 2024 Goals - Fortheloved Photography

Well, here we are. 2024 is already here, and my heart is fluttering. I sincerely cannot believe it’s the New Year. It feels like a moment ago I was shopping at Kroger for my Thanksgiving treats and planning my list of Christmas gifts for the people I love.

I was thinking a lot about all the things I did in 2023, and I took a deep breath because I did way more than I thought I was going to! From traveling to multiple different states, to shooting 22 weddings, and celebrating so many of my friends/family life celebrations… it’s been quite the year.

One of my favorite moments of the year was getting the opportunity to document an elopement on a Tennessee mountaintop on a crisp September morning. I’ve dreamed for YEARS about having the chance to photograph an elopement, and it truly was a dream come true even though I was running on 2 hours of sleep. Here are some of my favorite images from that day…

My heart fills with gratitude thinking about the weddings and special events I’ve had the honor of capturing this year. I’ve met SO many amazing couples, who are now considered dear friends. I can only hope that 2024 brings some amazing people into my life!

Here are my 2024 OUTS & INS:

INS —

-saying “yes” to more things that set my soul on fire

-journaling and reading my Bible every night

-editing true to my style, not everyone elses

-resting > hurry

-traveling to new places

-putting my health before anything else

OUTS —

-scrolling endlessly

-second guessing my value

-feeling pressure to post on social media constantly

-overworking myself

Overall, I cannot WAIT to see what this year holds for me and my photography business.

As always, I continue to pray for the Lords hand in everything I do… FORTHELOVED was named after HIM, and it’s the heart behind everything I do. We love because He first loved us… 1 John 4:19

2024, let’s see what you’ve got in store for me :)
