Ault Park Surprise Proposal in Cincinnati, OH — Andrew and Lauren

Alright ya’ll — this was a memory I’ll probably never forget as a photographer! Lauren’s sister reached out to me on Instagram about capturing Andrew + Lauren’s proposal, and I was excited to hear more! I chatted with Andrew on the phone as he was pacing around his Chicago apartment, hiding all of the inside info from Lauren. He was so nervous, wanting to make sure that everything would go smoothly once they got into town for the proposal! June 30th finally approached, and I was so excited to meet both of them and see Lauren’s reaction! She truly had NO idea this was happening. Hiding in the bushes, I waited for them to arrive and walk up to the archway. As they plopped a blanket down to have a “picnic”, Andrew stood up and asked Lauren to hug him. They were hugging for a few minutes, and that’s when I popped out of the bushes and started snapping some photos! Before Lauren knew what was happening, Andrew was down on one knee asking her to marry him. And that’s when all the tears began to flow…

Little did Lauren know that her sister and Mom, along with her grandparents, were hiding waiting to surprise her, too! It was a day filled with so many special moments. Including an engagement party, after! 💍
